What is a smart scale for?

How does it work?
When you step on the scale, a small electrical current will flow from the 4 metal plates in the scale and through your body. This current is what the machine uses to take your body measurements. The process is called Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) . It measures the different types of tissue you have in your body, such as fat and muscle tissue. You can get a much better idea of your body composition.
Keep in mind that this smart scale isn't as accurate as professional body measurement equipment, like what your doctor might use. But it's much more informative than a regular bathroom scale . You can also track your changes over time.
Please note that people using internal medical devices such as a pacemaker should not use a smart scale.

How to start using your smart scale
Insert the AAA batteries into the battery compartment under the scale and close the cover. Install the app on your phone using the QR code found on the scale's user manual. Then, using Bluetooth, pair the scale to your phone . You can pair it to any device that uses Bluetooth 4.0 and above. Then follow the instructions in the app, sign up, and start using the scale to measure your body measurements.
Make sure your smart scale is placed on a hard, flat surface to avoid inaccurate measurements. Do not place it on a carpet. Store it in a dry place so that the cables and electrical parts do not get wet. The glass will be slippery when wet, so if it is slightly damp, dry the glass before use . Do not use harsh cleaning products on the scale.
Stand with both feet flat on the scale to prevent it from tipping over. If you have shoes or socks on, it won't be able to take your readings. So stand on the scale with bare feet . It's a good idea to weigh yourself at the same time every day. Morning would be an excellent choice.

You can download a free app by scanning the QR code in the user manual you will receive with the scale. The app is called OKOK and is available on the App Store and Google Play. It records the various body measurements that the smart scale takes. Check your body weight, body fat, muscle mass and more. Use the app to track your progress over time. You will also receive personalized recommendations and advice on exercise, diet and sleep patterns.
